Compare to other rally races,this race last to the small hours of saturday night.Baja Negev league became to a survival journey of 220 km in the wide open Negev. Most of the competitors got stuck in the flads that the blessing drops of rain gave the earth that day.
People standing in what seems to be "nowhere",looking at a path going down from the hills in the north. A few from the drivers came back through those hills. After some field reports on some of the competitors who got stuck in the streams area , everybody knew that this day is going to be one of the longest days he ever had.
Ido's TT succeed to over come a part of the hard fladed road but eventually the gear box striked and the vehicle stood in the fladed ground like others.
The orgenizers decided that the drivers will aband their vehicles and rescue them the next day,some of the drivers did just that but some stayed for the night to watch over their ride. For Ido Cohen and Kid ofir it was a once in a life time extrodinary experience.
Wet from head to tow ,freezing, they started to walk in order to find a shalter from the rain. Finally a warm welcoming of a group of beduem saved their lives. At the same day Ido's brother Yochay came for the rescue guieded by one of the beduem .
The next day two friends of Ido came from Pardes-Hana with his new vehicle Zibar Mk2 , to pull out succeesfully all of the vehicles from the flad.
After all the vehicles were pull out and drivers are mentally calm they all went to eat,rest and above all to come back home.
Ido cohen and Kid Ofir won the first place .
